Product Support Technician

We are looking for an experienced Product Support Technician for an immediate opportunity at our office in Scottsdale! This person will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and software product support by phone and email for our customers. This motivated and multi-talented individual will answer and research customer issues and follow up with solutions and progress, and will document in ticket tracking system.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    The Technician will:
  • Answer questions and resolve issues regarding:
    • Client and Server hardware
    • Windows Operating system
    • Dialogic Computer Telephony boards and software
    • Company-proprietary system and application software
    • Digital Voice Recording hardware and software, and reporting software.
  • Research answers for more complicated software related issues
  • Follow up with customer regarding solutions and progress
  • Document customer issues resolution in ticket tracking system
Required Skills
  • Working knowledge of a variety of computer hardware, software and network systems
  • Ability to communicate effectively, verbal and written
  • Ability to analyze issues and solve problems via phone and email
  • Efficient in computer operations and troubleshooting
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and ability to adapt quickly to changes
  • Ability to work and/or be on call after hours and weekends

Preferred Skills

    A technical interview demonstrating knowledge may be required:
  • Microsoft SQL server database
    • Comfortable with Enterprise Manager and Query Analyzer
    • Able to create and troubleshoot SQL queries, DTS Packages, and jobs
    • Knowledge of basic backup options in SQL
  • Telephony and Computer Telephony
    • Basic knowledge of voice T1 technology
    • Able to verify basic T1 issues
  • Microsoft Operating Systems
    • Able to troubleshoot network issues
    • Comfortable with installing software and configuring settings
Qualifications
  • Experience: One to two years related work experience in technical customer support.
  • Education Expected: Associates degree in computer science, or equivalent job experience/training.
  • Must live in daily commutable distance to North Scottsdale, Arizona.
Reporting Relationships
This position reports directly to the Customer Service Manager.
